Description Responsibilities Develop conceptual and detailed designs for mechanical components and systems. Design and optimize mechanical parts, layouts, and assemblies, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and flow diagrams. Prepare part lists, technical specifications, and supporting documentation. Perform engineering calculations, including mechanical strength and collision checks. Support procurement activities through preparation of technical documentation for quotations, supplier coordination, and purchasing support. Conduct and supervise mechanical tests, inspections, and verifications. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety guidelines, and CE marking requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including project management and production. Supervise and support internal and external partners during the project lifecycle. Provide technical input for tenders and quotations. Tools & Software AutoCAD Teamcenter (PLM) Other relevant CAD and simulation tools Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and general mechanical systems. Familiarity with product lifecycle management systems and CAD software. Understanding of CE marking process, including: Application of relevant EU directives and harmonized standards. Preparation of technical files and conformity assessment documentation. Risk assessment and safety analysis in compliance with CE requirements. Collaboration with notified bodies when required. We are convinced that these responsibilities can also be successfully handled by an experienced Technician or Master Craftsman, provided they demonstrate a solid command of the necessary tools (AutoCAD, Inventor) with sufficient confidence. Alternatively, a Bachelor-level Engineer (but not Master-level) could also be considered for this position.
