The Associate VP, EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, India) Logistics is part of Agilent Technologies’ Global Logistics Leadership Team, reporting to the VP of Global Logistics.
This is a key leadership role in leading a customer-centric, highly optimized, and innovative Logistics organization for Agilent’s EMEAI Supply Chain operations.
This is a significant leadership opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated leader with demonstrated experience who can lead, inspire, and drive digital transformation with a diverse team within the region with a world-class, sustainable operation moving product around the world and fulfilling customer orders in EMEAI. This individual will be expected to lead critical, on-going logistics initiatives supporting Agilent’s digitalization and growth strategy.
This position has responsibility for managing a team of ~140+ logistics professionals in EMEAI with a business-critical supply chain operation that meets or exceeds expectations in terms of delivery, quality, cost performance and customer experience.
Responsibilities & Areas of Focus:
1. Lead the EMEAI Logistics to meet the high standards of customers’ expectation, operational metrics and financial goals
2. Owner for the strategy and execution for logistics operations in EMEAI, moving product from warehouse to customers in EMEAI.
3. Formulate and Implement logistics strategies to support the business growth while improving supply chain service, resilience and reliability.
4. Implement strategy in alignment with shifts in divisional sourcing and customer mix.
5. Develop and implement best practices to drive efficiency, reduce cost, and improve service.
6. Strong ability to adeptly manage complexity in a rapidly changing operating environment with agility.
7. Work cross-functionally to monitor and adjust capacity as needed.
8. Manage logistics service providers (LSP) and ensure ongoing carrier and warehouse compliance to committed KPIs, operating standards and service level agreements
9. Collaborate with Service Fulfillment, Americas and AsiaPac Logistics organization to implement seamless, best in class supply chain processes including cross-border logistics and warehouse operations.
10. Support and implement digital transformation across the supply chain logistics organization by identifying, assessing and implementing innovative, best-in-class technologies.
11. Collaborate with regional business partners to implement appropriate strategies to achieve delivery, quality and cost KPIs including Customer Required Delivery (CRDD) performance, Defect on Arrival goals (DEFOA), Inventory accuracy, logistics cost as % over revenue improvement.
Qualifications
12. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain / Logistics or Life Sciences discipline. Advanced degree highly desirable.
13. Minimum of 7 years in senior Operations leadership of increasing responsibility with experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution and warehousing in a multi-national company
14. Strong analytically with an acute business acumen
15. Strong knowledge of supply chain technology
16. Experience with managing Supply Chain in a regulated Medical Device environment
17. Experience in digital technologies such as automated manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence / machine learning, etc is preferred
18. Experience driving significant process improvement efforts utilizing Lean and 6-Sigma concepts and methodologies.
19. Familiarity with the markets Agilent serves, Agilent products and customers’ business needs is desirable.
20. Experience with managing Supply Chain in a regulated Medical Device environment is preferred
21. Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing multicultural, diverse team.
22. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive business decisions
23. This position is preferably based in Waldbronn, Germany.
24. Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis
