As Director Market Access, you will be accountable for both strategic leadership and hands‑on delivery excellence, shaping the future of our business by combining client delivery oversight, business development, capability building, and team development. You will manage key accounts, lead complex market access projects, and drive innovation in methodologies and tech‑enabled delivery ensuring commercial success and client, revenue and profitability targets. You will play a critical role in translating strategy into operational impact, both in Germany and across our European organization. Key responsibilities Lead and manage client relationships for pharma and biotech accounts, ensuring satisfaction and long‑term partnerships. Serve as product owner or strategic advisor on key market access projects (AMNOG, EU HTA, pricing, etc.) Oversee delivery standards and apply agile working methods across teams. Drive business development, proposal management, and client relationship building. Define portfolio vision, drive innovation pipeline, and align strategies across geographies. External thought‑leadership representation at conferences and associations. Mentor and develop delivery teams, manage staffing and resource allocation. Shape recruitment strategy and contribute to talent pipeline development. Champion Kintiga values and foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture. Detailed responsibilities Pharma and Biotech client leadership: Overall accountability for managing the client relationship and meeting client expectations. Responsible for key accounts and ensuring satisfaction, repeat business, and long‑term partnerships. Strategic project leadership: Serve as product owner (project lead) and/or strategic advisor on key accounts and complex market access projects requiring tailored strategy and solutions to ensure delivery of excellence – quality, scope, margin. Oversight of delivery standards, ensuring consistency and high quality across all clients. Apply agile working methods, planning, prioritisation; shape agile strategy across teams and cross‑functional alignment. Design, develop and apply innovative methodologies to foster tech‑enabled delivery to clients using state‑of‑the‑art AI tools. As needed, lead, or be involved in above country e.g. EU and global projects for clients, managing a cross‑functional and cross‑geographic team. Business & account development for Germany and whole Kintiga: Proposal & opportunity management: lead business development efforts, incl. pitches and proposals, to increase business and upselling across delivery team. Work closely with Business Development team to identify opportunities and support new business wins. Client relationship management: build strong relationships and personal brand with clients in the market. Corporate development: Define portfolio vision, drive innovation pipeline and transformation, lead product strategy. Ensure alignment between Germany and broader UK/European consulting strategy, working with peers across geographies. Foster strong feedback culture to support development and sustainable growth of the team: manage and mentor delivery teams, provide coaching, feedback and overall performance management. Serve as talent coach: identify individual training needs and career development opportunities. Oversee utilisation, career‑oriented staffing on projects for the dedicated team and the individual team members; maintain / increase retention rate. Talent & capacity planning: Recruitment: shape recruitment strategy; contribute to pipeline development. Resource allocation: co‑define FTE needs, align workforce planning with business and growth goals; ensure long‑term capability building. Joint decision on promotions and new hires. Oversee cultural development: embed partnership mindset into organisational culture and strategy, build relationships to external collaborators; lead Community of Practise across Kintiga. Champion the Kintiga values, act as a role‑model. Education & qualifications Master’s degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, health economics, or business. Excellent German and English language skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced skills in CRM, project management, and data tools (preferred). PhD in a relevant field (preferred). Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in market access or market access consulting within the German and European pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, ideally with international exposure (preferred). A strong understanding of the German (AMNOG) as well as the key European market access landscapes, including the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. A deep understanding of the German healthcare system. Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships, driving business growth. Familiarity with digital health, innovative pricing models, and EU HTA processes (preferred). Skills & talents Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strategic mindset and analytical & problem‑solving thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies. Thought leadership and opinion leader in market access and beyond. Last but not least Hybrid with office in Hannover, Lower Saxony: regular in‑person presence at the office 2–3 days per week.
