Job Summary
NetApp IT’s Infrastructure Operations and Support (IOS) is a dynamic leading-edge organization that designs, implements, and supports the technologies that enable the entire enterprise. IOS is seeking an experienced Platform Support engineer to join dynamic team of technologists who are at the forefront of supporting and revolutionizing NetApp's worldwide infrastructure and services. As an Platform Support Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, IT architects, Cybersecurity, support teams and developers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with IT infrastructure platforms including Linux, Windows, Cloud Computing, Cloud Storage – On/Off Prem
Responsibilities
1. Contribute to application migration and development on various platforms
2. Monitor infrastructure performance and resource usage
3. Resolve technical issues, troubleshoot network, application, and security problems
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
5. Manage incidents, escalate critical issues
6. Proficient in scripting languages for automation
7. Implement Infrastructure as Code principles with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
8. Conduct detailed problem analysis
9. Handle change management and maintenance tasks
10. Maintain a knowledge base for efficient issue resolution and knowledge sharing
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
11. Strong knowledge of industry best practices
12. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
13. Certification in AWS or Kubernetes is preferred
14. Experience with monitoring tools like Zenoss, Splunk, Instana
15. Proficient in MongoDB, NetApp storage solutions
16. Familiar with Kubernetes, Rancher, containerized workflows
17. Skilled in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Jenkins
18. Proficient in Ansible Tower, Terraform, Chef
19. Experienced with Git, Gitlab, GitHub for version control
20. Skilled in building, deploying, and troubleshooting containers
21. Well-versed in Splunk for log management
22. Proficiency in AWS Services: EC2, EKS, S3
23. Knowledgeable in MariaDB, Istio Service Mesh
24. Experienced in writing Ansible playbooks, patching OS
25. Recent experience with LogicMonitor, SNMP, Netflow
Education
Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 109,650 - 162,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
