This position is office-based hybrid in Munich - 3 days per week.

As a Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Go to Market organization, reporting to the Manager of Solutions Engineering Germany. You will work primarily with our German sales team supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help drive our business and market growth. You will also be the interface between sales, Product & Eng, Customer Success, and data privacy on technical topics and product-related projects.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
1. You will be the primary point of contact for our sales team focused on working with our Medium Business customers in Germany.
2. You will collaborate with account executives on sales opportunities to determine and validate technical requirements, product use cases and solution scope
3. As an SE, you’ll have deep technical knowledge of Personio’s product suite and be the first line of defense and product expert for sales and prospects
4. You will support the creation of commercial proposals and executive presentations, including business value assessment with ROI/TCO calculations
5. You will support other regions/markets as required
6. Travel to customer site as needed (10-20% of time)
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
7. You have 2-3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar profession
8. You have a technical background and understanding of SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols
9. You are customer-centric and commercially driven
10. You are also data-driven, think analytically and are able to rightsize your efforts based on customer/business needs
11. Up to date knowledge in security/compliance ( ISO27k)
12. Clear and structured communication style that can suit changing dynamics
13. Native in German and full-professional proficiency in English required

At Personio, we value in-person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office-based, with 3 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
