As an intern in NPC assay formats (Near Patient Care RED Chapter- NPC RED), you will have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative, and a global team. The NPC RED Chapter is located in Mannheim and develops innovative diagnostic solutions for near-patient testing. We work together with departments from Research & Development, Diagnostics Production, Business Development and the Life Cycle Teams. Your Tasks: Screening of patents, literature, and clinical studies relevant to the project Exploring novel consumer and medical-grade wearables for their usability and data potential. Contribute to data collection, and data analysis Work alongside experienced researchers to learn about clinical trial design and execution Providing regular updates to cross-functional team of clinical scientists, biomarker experts, data scientists, and IVD experts Who You Are We are looking for an individual who is inspired by our mission and would fit in well with the collaborative and dynamic culture of our company. To be successful in this role, you are (and have): Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, biostatistics) High interest and thorough technical knowledge of how digital wearables (consumer wearables/medical grade wearables) detect, analyze, and transmit information of body metrics Proficient in data analysis software (e.g., R, MATLAB, Python, SAS).
