Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity in Cancer and Microbiome Research
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of Luxembourg.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new methods and assays to study virulence factors (VFs) and their mechanisms using in vitro and in vivo cancer models.
Main Responsibilities
* Determine the effects of identified VFs using various in vitro and in vivo assays and investigate underlying mechanisms
* Contribute to the development of new methods and assays to study VF functions
* Participate in and contribute to microbiome- and cancer-related projects
* Ensure scientific quality management and comply with quality assurance standards
* Actively participate in meetings, collect, manage, and analyze data, present results within the monthly Infectome consortium meetings and at national and international conferences
Requirements
* PhD in Biological Sciences or a related discipline
* Preferably, prior professional experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher
* Proficiency in cell culture techniques, ideally including 3D cell culture models
* Experience working with purified proteins and performing related assays
* Experience in conducting animal (in vivo) experiments is an advantage
* Competence in molecular biology techniques such as real-time PCR, FACS analysis, and Western blotting
