Job Title: Data and Analytics Specialist
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Analytics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strategic Target System (STS) Development: Develop and maintain the STS scorecard, defining KPIs, calibration, and data automation.
* Quarterly Analysis: Collect data, perform quality control, produce outputs, and analysis.
* Reporting and Strategy: Write reports for senior management and the Board of Directors, as well as strategy papers.
* Financial Datasets: Develop dynamic financial datasets, including balance sheets and other statements.
* Trend Analysis: Conduct trend analysis, scenario modeling, and forecasting using developed datasets.
* Team Coordination: Coordinate with other services to ensure strategic alignment and effective implementation of financial initiatives.
* Leadership: Lead tasks related to team procedures and processes.
* Data Science Expertise: Act as an internal expert in data science and analytics, contributing to tool development, model building, and advanced analysis.
* Culture Promotion: Promote a strong analytical culture within the organization, providing guidance on data analytics matters.
* Innovation: Enhance analytical capabilities through innovative methods and advanced data tools.
* Cross-Functional Projects: Participate in cross-functional and cross-departmental projects, offering both strategic and data-driven perspectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Strategy, STEM, or a related field, preferably at postgraduate level.
* Certifications: Additional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA) or a PhD would be an asset.
* Experience: At least three years of relevant professional experience in data/business analytics, financial modeling, or corporate strategy, ideally within the finance sector.
* Skills: Proficiency with Excel, querying, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets using Python, R, SQL, SAS, or Alteryx, and visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
* Quantitative Modeling: Skills in quantitative modeling, projections, and financial analysis methodologies are an asset.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of other EU languages is an asset.
