We are supporting our client, a leading and fast‑growing European FinTech with a strong technology and data focus, in the search for a Head of Controlling. The role is based in Düsseldorf, with the company's headquarters located in Frankfurt. This Director-level position reports directly to the CFO and leads the group-wide controlling function.
What You'll Do:
* Lead and develop the Controlling team
* Oversee group-wide management reporting, planning & forecasting
* Ensure high-quality reporting under HGB (German GAAP)
* Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making
* Strengthen processes, controls & reporting quality
* Drive continuous improvement and support strategic transformation projects
What You Bring:
* Strong background in controlling, reporting & planning
* Deep HGB knowledge (IFRS is a plus)
* Leadership experience and strong stakeholder management
* Analytical, hands-on mindset with a drive for improvement
* Fluent German + C1 English
* Experience in banking or financial services is desirable but not mandatory
