An international organisation is seeking an experienced supply chain leader to oversee the development and optimisation of its European operations. This strategic role will be responsible for improving end-to-end supply chain performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving scalable logistics solutions across multiple markets.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to create resilient, data-driven supply chain processes that support business growth and deliver measurable improvements in service, cost, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation
* Develop and execute strategies to improve supply chain performance across procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery.
* Design and implement scalable operating models to support future growth.
Operational Excellence
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data and performance metrics.
* Analyse operational trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Establish performance frameworks and reporting structures to monitor key business objectives.
Partner & Vendor Management
* Build and manage relationships with logistics providers, suppliers, and operational partners.
* Evaluate partner performance and ensure service levels align with business requirements.
* Lead commercial and operational discussions to deliver value and long-term partnership success.
Programme & Project Delivery
* Lead complex operational projects from concept through implementation.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
* Support the development and deployment of customer-focused supply chain solutions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
* Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries and business functions.
* Provide guidance, coaching, and support to operational teams.
* Build and develop a high-performing supply chain function capable of supporting regional growth.
Essential Experience
* Significant experience within supply chain, logistics, operations, or distribution environments.
* Proven track record of leading operational improvement and transformation programmes.
* Experience managing third-party service providers and complex stakeholder relationships.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance service, cost, and operational objectives.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
* Experience working with enterprise business systems and operational planning platforms.
* Ability to translate complex operational data into actionable business insights.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Comfortable working across different cultures and international markets.
* Self-motivated, resilient, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Passionate about developing teams and sharing knowledge.
Qualifications
* Degree-level education in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related discipline.
* Professional supply chain or operational qualifications would be advantageous.
