Role Overview
Your mission is to design and orchestrate client-specific, high-impact storylines and deal narratives for our most important automotive OEM and finance partners, as well as leading agencies.
You will build in-depth, bespoke pitch and strategy decks that bring together all three Partnerships & Media pillars – Advertising, OEM Partnerships and Financial Services – into one coherent, compelling joint business plan per client.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Advertising Strategist (d/f/m) to join our Advertising Product Development team. In this role, you will craft client-specific strategic narratives and pitch decks for key OEMs and agencies. You will collaborate closely with Advertising Sales, OEM Partnerships, Financial Services, Product, and Data/Insights to align a unified value proposition and win multi-product, multi-year deals.
You will report to the Head of Product Development.
This is not a “template & scale” enablement role. It is a strategic, consulting-style position focused on:
* deeply understanding each partner,
* translating our platform and advertising capabilities into client-specific growth stories,
* helping our sales and partnership teams win big, multi-product, multi-year deals
* and owning narrative architecture (problem → tension → insight → solution → proof → next step)
Responsibilities:
1. Client & Market Insight
* Conduct deep-dive research on selected partners and their strategy
* Analyse client performance and behaviour on mobile.de : inventory, listings, media investments, funnel performance
o competitor presence & differentiation on our platform
* Synthesize industry trends into insights that are relevant for each client.
2. Storyline & Narrative Development
* Develop tailor-made strategic narratives for key partners that answer:
o “What is happening in the market & with your brand?”
o “What is mobile.de’s unique role in your future growth?”
o “What can we concretely build and run together in the next 1–3 years?”
* Translate complex data, product capabilities and platform mechanics into simple, emotionally compelling and visually clear stories.
* Build narratives that integrate all three PAM pillars (Advertising, OEM Partnerships, Financial Services) into one joint value proposition, instead of three separate pitches.
3. Deal & Proposal Design
* Co-design joint business plans and big deal proposals with Advertising, OEM Partnerships and Financial Services:
o cross-product packages (branding, performance, commerce, data, core platform solutions, financial services integration)
o multi-quarter or multi-year roadmaps
o investment levels, phasing and potential upside scenarios
* Translate business plans into clear, structured decks that can be used by senior sales and leadership in C-level meetings at OEMs and captives.
* Proactively identify new monetisation and partnership ideas (e.g. new ad formats, data collaborations, financial services integrations) that strengthen our overall PAM story.
4. Cross-Functional Orchestration within PAM
* Align stakeholders across PAM on a unified storyline for strategic accounts
o clarify what each function can bring to a specific client
o define joint goals, roles & responsibilities and next steps for high-stakes pitches
5. Content Creation & Enablement
* Create high-quality executive decks for:
o top-tier Advertising, OEM & captive pitch meetings
o quarterly / annual joint business reviews
o strategic initiative proposals (e.g. EV, used car, finance, agency model pilots)
* Coach sales and partnership teams in how to deliver the narrative, not just read the slides – including talk tracks, objection handling and framing (and join client conversations if needed).
Your Profile:
* 5+ years in creative strategy / strategic storytelling (consulting-style, bespoke narratives)
* Proven C-level deck ownership: JBP / big-deal pitch / QBR decks B2B ads/media/partnerships experience
* Strong data storytelling / data skills Expert PowerPoint / Google Slides Experience aligning cross-functional stakeholders
* Fluent English and German language
Nice to Have skills:
* Automotive OEM or advertising agency experience
* Advanced analytics / BI tooling (e.g., SQL + Looker/Tableau/Power BI) to support performance deep-dives and cleaner data visualisation decisions
