Instead of paying high upfront fees, brands exchange their product or service for authentic UGC-style content published on TikTok and Instagram. The result is a scalable, cost-efficient way to generate creator content and social proof without the operational complexity of traditional influencer marketing.
The platform operates across three commercial tracks: a self-service SaaS subscription for SME brands, a managed subscription tier for brands that want hands-off execution, and a full-service Agency offering for enterprise clients and Tier 1 media agencies. Barter is headquartered in Amsterdam and currently active in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, with the United Kingdom and France launching in 2026. The team is approximately 40 people and growing.

Purpose of the Role
The Senior Partnerships Manager owns the full commercial cycle for Barters enterprise and agency vertical in Germany. This includes prospecting, pitching, and closing high-value creator campaign deals with direct brands and with Tier 1 and Tier 2 media agencies operating in the German market. Beyond closing, the role carries end-to-end commercial ownership of each client relationship: managing scope adjustments during live campaigns, resolving commercial issues, leading post-campaign evaluations, and driving renewals, upsells, and new campaign sales within existing accounts. Germany is Barters first international expansion market, operational since July 2025. The role requires a profile that combines strategic relationship building with hands-on deal execution and deep knowledge of the German media and marketing landscape.
Core Responsibilities
New Business Development
* Identify, prospect, and qualify enterprise-level brands for direct creator campaign partnerships in the German market.
* Engage Tier 1 and Tier 2 Media Agencies (Publicis, OMNICOM, WPP, HAVAS, DENTSU, and major independent German agencies) as a primary sales channel.
* Build and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities with longer sales cycles and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
* Develop tailored proposals and commercial structures that align Barters full-service offering with brand objectives in the German context.
* Close partnership deals that contribute to the Germany markets revenue targets.
Client Relationship and Campaign Oversight
* Act as the primary commercial point of contact for both direct brand and agency clients in Germany throughout the campaign lifecycle.
* Coordinate with the Campaign team to ensure delivery aligns with what was sold and agreed, including German-market specifics (language, creator pool, local content requirements).
* Resolve commercial escalations and protect both client satisfaction and Barters margins.
Renewals, Upselling, and Account Growth
* Lead post-campaign evaluations with clients to review performance and identify follow-up opportunities.
* Drive contract renewals, upsells to larger campaign scopes, and new campaign sales within existing accounts.
* Develop a structured approach to account planning that maximises client lifetime value.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
* 8+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in media, creator marketing, or influencer marketing environments.
* Proven track record of managing full sales cycles with longer timelines and multi-stakeholder sign-off in the German market.
* Experience building and maintaining commercial relationships at marketing manager or director level within German brands or agencies.
* Comfortable engaging Tier 1 and Tier 2 agencies as a primary commercial channel.
* Strong negotiation skills and confidence handling commercial discussions around scope, pricing, and contract terms in a German business context.
* Ability to manage a portfolio of active client relationships alongside active new business development.
* Familiarity with HubSpot and structured pipeline management.
* Native-level German required; professional English required for internal communication with Amsterdam HQ.
* In-depth understanding of the German digital marketing and media landscape, including digital advertising, brand strategy, content marketing, and the role of creator and influencer marketing within the broader media mix.

* Escalation to the Head of Partnerships for deals that fall outside standard commercial frameworks or require strategic alignment.
