Description Group CISO is the core department and central driver for Information Security Governance in Synlab International. Our mission is to ensure that the required protection measures/security reference architectures are implemented across the organization and its information assets, residual risks are assessed and managed, creating transparency towards the management & business owners helping them to make risk-aware decisions that would lead to robust security governance, risk management, compliance and resilience. Our vision is to establish a company culture that is not only security-aware but also showcases risk-aware, secure behavior. Security is a feature, not an add-on; therefore, security is by design/default. To this end, we are looking for a new member to join our team, a Lead Security Architect. In this role, you will shape and drive information security architecture across Synlab International, influencing strategic decisions at group level and working closely with senior stakeholders. As Lead Security Architect you will play a crucial role in fulfilling our mission. Responsibilities Maintain ISMS and support relevant audit and certification activities. Monitor the organization’s security posture, coverage & effectiveness of security capabilities & processes with actionable metrics. Ensuring that security by design is embedded throughout the organization. Guide solution architects within the organization in documenting their security concepts. Initiate projects to implement new security capabilities or enhance existing ones. Design and implement security processes and ensure that IT processes relevant to security are designed and implemented with security considerations. Oversee projects relevant to security architecture, ensuring that the minimum documentation, including high-level architecture, is reviewed and required improvements/adjustments are adopted by the project. Provide information security consulting and liaison with all relevant stakeholders. Lead the Security Communities, fostering knowledge exchange, best practices and embedding security gateways in service teams. Qualifications University degree in computer science or natural sciences, or equivalent professional experience with 10 years in Information and IT Security fields Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse, international teams, driving strategic objectives and fostering collaboration in complex enterprise environments Professional experience with cloud technologies, related security processes, controls, and sound knowledge of IT security technologies and architecture Expertise in information security management systems and industry standards (ISO270xx, NIS2) with experience developing security policies and procedures Agile mindset with practical experience in agile methodologies, ability to handle high workload with independence, judgment, and initiative Proficient English with excellent international communication skills, including preparing professional documentation for various audiences and senior management. Knowledge of other languages is desired. Understanding of AI technologies and their security implications, including risk assessment, governance, and practical enterprise use cases.
