As Corporate Consulting and Digitalization team at Heraeus, we know the challenges today's global manufacturing and service companies face. In this role, you will drive data-driven operational improvements and digital transformation across Heraeus’ global manufacturing network. You will lead complex improvement initiatives at the intersection of Six Sigma, advanced analytics, and shopfloor digitalization, working closely with operations, suppliers, and customers to solve critical business and manufacturing challenges and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proven track record in solving complex manufacturing and operational challenges using Six Sigma methodologies enhanced by digital and data-driven approaches, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers
2. Strong analytical and digital mindset, leveraging data, analytics, and technology to challenge established processes, assumptions, and organizational beliefs
3. Deep expertise in applied statistics and advanced use of Minitab, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
4. Six Sigma Black Belt with comprehensive mastery of the tool stack (e.g. C&E Matrix, FMEA, MSA, SPC), combined with hands-on experience in digital shopfloor solutions, data acquisition, and process transparency
5. Extensive experience in Design of Experiments (DOE) – from screening to optimization – including digital planning, execution, and interpretation using tools such as MODDE
6. Ability to synthesize complex technical and analytical findings into clear, concise insights for senior management and decision-makers
7. Proven leadership of large, cross-functional Six Sigma and digital improvement programs, with more than 10 team members and multiple workstreams
8. Experience with pluggable sensor technologies, industrial data platforms, and numerical simulation of manufacturing phenomena is a strong plus
Required Qualifications:
9. High resilience and adaptability, with the ability to perform in fast-paced, high-impact project environments, particularly during critical transformation phases
10. Strong intrinsic motivation to support operating companies in challenging business situations and a passion for solving complex, data-intensive problems
11. University degree in engineering, data science, natural sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
12. Proven project management experience, managing complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to measurable impact
13. Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent expertise in process optimization, operational excellence, and digital improvement methodologies
14. Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across disciplines such as operations, IT, data, and management
15. Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities, with experience aligning technical, operational, and business perspectives
16. Fluent in German and English and comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment
17. Willingness to travel internationally and spend extended periods at Heraeus manufacturing sites worldwide
