Linux System Administrator / DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
You will form the backbone of our IT services. Your focus will be on the interface between classic administration and modern DevOps approaches:
* Virtualization and containerization: You will be responsible for the operation and optimization of virtual servers (Linux and Windows) and will drive modernization using Proxmox and Kubernetes.
* School infrastructure: You provide identity and SSO cloud platforms as well as learning management systems (e.g., Moodle) for schools and ensure smooth operation.
* E-commerce and web: Provision of highly available, Linux-based environments for our e-commerce customers (web shops).
* Network and security: Support and optimization of the network infrastructure and firewalls to ensure the highest security standards for our customers
* DevOps and automation: You use container technologies and DevOps methods to automate deployments and increase efficiency
* Operations: Data backup, proactive monitoring, and patch management of the entire environment are part of your routine.
Your profile
* You have a degree in computer science, IT training, or a comparable qualification.
* You have in-depth knowledge of Linux server administration (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, or similar).
* You have proven experience with Proxmox and a deep understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s).
* You have experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and versioning (Git).
* You have basic knowledge of Windows servers and solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing).
* You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and are a true team player.
* Fluency in spoken and written German is a prerequisite—other languages are welcome.
