About the Role

KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Product Management Full / Part time Either Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As Grid Technology Product Management, we are developing digitally enabled solutions and products, including hardware and software, for high voltage energy transition applications like High Voltage Switchgears, Transformers, and Composite Insulators & Surge Arresters. Currently, our development process is split into silos, with hardware following a waterfall approach and software using agile principles. Recently, we designed an Agile Operating Model based on the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) framework to integrate hardware and software into a cohesive end-to-end agile development value stream.As a Product Manager (f/m/d), you will play a pivotal role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our switchgear portfolio roadmap within the SAFe framework. You will be an integral part of multi-functional teams, including Product Owners, System Architects, Supply Chain Management and other collaborators. In close alignment with the Product Lifecycle Managers you ensure that our products deliver maximum value to our customers and align with the overall business objectives. Your contribution to agile practices will be essential in guiding the development process and ensuring that the product roadmap is successfully performed.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Understand customer and market demands as well as improvement potentials to the switchgear product landscape to support the definition of the Portfolio Roadmap in close collaboration with the Product Lifecycle Managers
2. Break down Portfolio Epics and their technical requirements into features in collaboration with Product Lifecycle Managers, Product Owners and System Architects
3. Plan, maintain, monitor and drive Portfolio Epics including descriptions, acceptance criteria clear prioritization and assurance of fulfillment. This includes responsibility for fulfillment of the development schedule and budget, overall planning responsibility for a Portfolio Epic in respective ALM- and project management tools
4. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams, ensuring that all aspects of product development and integration are aligned and performed until Sales- and Manufacturing-Release
5. Assure daily decision making of the development team by contributing to PI Plannings, System Demos, Sprint Reviews and daily standups with clear explanation of Goals and Features of the Portfolio Epic and strategic, commercial and technical preconditions
6. Assure documentation of development progress and lessons learned in line with Siemens Energy PLM guidelines and achievements.
What You Bring
7. Completed university degree in electrical engineering, energy management, mechanical engineering or comparable degree or a related field
8. Proven experience in HV-switchgear Product Management, R&D project management or Customer project management with HV-switchgear background or in a similar role, showcasing a solid understanding of product management- and project management principles and agile methodologies
9. Commitment to agile practices and methodologies and willingness to work in SAFe
10. methodology Certification in the SAFe Framework is a plus
11. Good understanding of market trends and customer needs and the passion for delivering valuable solutions that meet customer needs and drive business success. This includes a technical understanding of the HV-switchgear market and its technical requirements
12. Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with partners at all levels, fostering collaboration and alignment
13. Familiarity with backlog management tools and agile project management software, enabling efficient tracking and prioritization of tasks
14. Experience in planning and forecasting schedule and costs of complex R&D- or customer projects
15. Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to engage with partners, customers, and teams across different international locations
