Job Description Summary The Senior Director, Business Development & Alliance Management is responsible for shaping, negotiating, and overseeing strategic partnerships and collaborations across the Bio Platform. This role ensures alliances are structured for long term success, deliver maximum value, and operate effectively in alignment with corporate objectives. The position also leads negotiations related to product lifecycle initiatives within partnered programs. Success in this role requires exceptional negotiation capabilities, expertise in designing and managing complex strategic partnerships, strong relationship and governance leadership, and the ability to influence and navigate across diverse, cross functional teams. Your Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify, assess, and structure strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities for the Bio Platform. Lead end‑to‑end deal processes, from initial engagement through negotiation, contracting, and implementation. Ensure partnership structures support long‑term strategic and financial objectives Oversee the governance and operational effectiveness of ongoing alliances, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and issue resolution. Monitor performance indicators and ensure delivery of partnership milestones and value commitments. Serve as the primary relationship owner for key external partners, fostering trust, transparency, and joint success Lead negotiations and operational alignment for product lifecycle initiatives within partnered programs. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including R&D, Commercial, Legal, IP, Finance, and Operations—to ensure integrated planning and execution. Provide strategic leadership to cross‑functional deal teams and alliance working groups. Advise senior leadership on partnership strategies, risks, and opportunities. Support the evolution of BD&L and alliance management processes, tools, and best practices across the organization. What you’ll bring to the role: Essential Requirements: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business (MBA preferred). 12 years of experience in business development, licensing, strategic partnerships, or alliance management within the biopharmaceutical industry. Proven track record in negotiating and managing complex, high‑value strategic partnerships. Strong understanding of drug development, commercialization, and product lifecycle management. Exceptional influencing, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments.
