You have what it takes: a competitive drive coupled with exceptional sales ability.The Business Development Director – Commercial Outsourcing (DACH) is responsible for driving new business growth across pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Drawing on an integrated, customer‑centric approach, the role focuses on selling outsourced commercial solutions including sales force outsourcing, launch excellence, hybrid and omnichannel engagement models, and commercial operations services. The role acts as a senior commercial partner to clients and internal stakeholders, shaping integrated solutions and growing long‑term enterprise partnerships across the DACH region.ResponsibilitiesOwn and expand a portfolio of strategic pharmaceutical and biotech accounts across the DACH region, with accountability for commercial outsourcing pipeline and revenue growthIdentify, qualify, and convert complex commercial outsourcing opportunities including full and partial sales force deployment, launch support, and ongoing commercial executionDevelop and execute DACH‑focused account strategies aligned to client brand lifecycles, launch timelines, and commercial objectivesPartner with internal solution leads, operations, and deployment teams to design integrated, differentiated commercial solutionsLead RFI/RFP responses, proposal development, pricing strategy, bid defenses, and contract negotiations for commercial outsourcing engagementsRepresent the organization at DACH and European commercial, launch excellence, and pharmaceutical industry events.Essential RequirementsBachelor’s DegreeSenior business development experience within commercial outsourcing, Contract Services Organisation (CSO), or pharmaceutical services organisations. Strong understanding of DACH pharmaceutical commercial structures, go‑to‑market models, and launch dynamicsProven success selling integrated commercial solutions, including sales force outsourcing and launch models.Strong relationship builder with the ability to operate across complex client organisationsFluent German and English required (additional European languages advantageous)Willingness to travel regularly across the DACH region and EuropeAt Syneos Health, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
