Your areas of responsibilities:
* Offer specialist advice on all patent-related matters
* Offer guidance on German, European and foreign utility patents and design patents
* Evaluate inventions and prepare applications for German, EU and foreign patents
* Collaborate with inventors to support the development of strategic intellectual property
* Develop and finalize product-clearance plans by conducting thorough research on existing patents
* Provide comprehensive advice on potential patent infringements, ensuring adherence to legal standards
* Support to conduct investigations on patent infringements and to take necessary actions in patent disputes
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Project Management, Quality Management, Design, Procurement, and Legal departments
* Participate in product development meetings to identify and capture inventions at an early stage
* Conduct inventor workshops to support development steps and strategic intellectual property creation
* Engage with external lawyers to facilitate legal aspects of patent-related activities
Your profile of qualification:
* Technical studies (Mechanical Engineer, Physics, or comparable) with further education or experience in patents
* First hands-on experience in patent-related fields, including patent applications and enforcement actions is an asset
* Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
* Strong analytical skills and a well-organized work approach
* In-depth understanding of technical and academic procedures and processes
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Proficient in MS-Office applications
* Fluent in English (written and oral)
* Good proficiency in the German language
