The new experimental department of our recently appointed director, Prof. Raphaële Clément,
is seeking an
The role
Serve as the primary point of contact for the department via phone or e-mail.
Coordinate travel arrangements and schedule meetings.
Organize workshops and conferences.
Manage day-to-day e-mail correspondence in both English and German.
Provide administrative support to department members and visiting scientists, including assistance with accommodation arrangements.
Liaise with the institute’s administration on matters such as travel reimbursements, procurement of materials, and inventory management.
Maintain and update the department’s website using the content management system (CMS).
Requirements
Completed vocational education in a relevant field (e.g. Fremdsprachenkorrespondent*in or Kaufmann*frau für Büromanagement)
Excellent command of written and spoken English and German
Strong proficiency in standard software and a willingness to learn new tools. Experience with content management systems (CMS) is an advantage.
Open-minded and comfortable working with diverse cultures and communication styles.
Highly flexible, reliable and well organized.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Proactive in anticipating and prioritizing tasks.
Takes initiative and works with a high degree of responsibility.
Enjoys working in an international, scientific environment.
Previous experience in an international research setting is an advantage.
What we offer
A two-year contract initially.
The preferred starting date is July 1st, 2026.
50% contract initially, with the option of increasing working hours at a later stage.
