Description We are a steel tube manufacturer based in 72213 Altensteig‑Walddorf and part of ArcelorMittal, the world’s second‑largest steel producer. We produce longitudinally welded profile and precision steel tubes used in a wide range of end products. We are looking at the earliest possible date for a committed Health and Safety Manager to coordinate Health and Safety in AMTP Altensteig. As H&S Manager, your main responsibilities and missions will be: Being in charge of the day-to-day management of H&S activities and coordination in AMTP Altensteig: Providing the support to plant management in H&S matters Ensuring plant’s compliance with legal requirements and Group’s requirements related to H&S Managing of all regular reporting for the Group and local authorities Planning training actions together with Operations Supporting in the investigation of any incident Following up of all H&S related actions Expected results by the end of the year 2026: Action plan to reach the compliance in all FPS defined, approved and followed up FPS L3 achieved in all FPA HIRA and Work Instructions updated for all routine activities Targets for preventive safety audits met Targets for safety incidents (unsafe acts and unsafe situations) reporting met Targets for proactive SO/PSIF met Action plan for equipment conformity certification defined, approved and followed up All incidents recorded, reported and investigated as required according to the applicable procedure Qualifications & requirements Proven industrial (steel or automotive) experience of at least 5 years Managerial experience of at least 3 years Proven competence and compliance with legal requirements in H&S Fluency in German and English, knowledge of any other European language would be an asset In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices Experience in writing reports and procedures for health and safety Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics We Offer: Security of an international operating group combined with the flat hierarchies of a Swabian medium‑sized company A varied and responsible role in a dynamic team Positive working atmosphere, attractive compensation based on the IG‑Metall collective agreement JobRad Flexible working hours Thorough onboarding We look forward to receiving your application, which you may address to our HR department:
