We are seeking for a motivated and innovative Scientist with PhD in life science or engineering sciences with a focus on nanomedicine in immunity/inflammation and experience with entrepreneurship. Your tasks include
1. Drive the development and application of high-content imaging assays to profile immune responses
2. Contribute to cutting-edge research in drug and disease profiling
3. Engage in business development activities
4. Communicate with external stakeholders
5. Deliver presentations at conferences
6. Support start-up stage activities
7. PhD in life science with focus in immunology and bioengineering, biochemistry, molecular medicine
8. Experience in a start-up environment, industry, business administration customer relations with focus on drug and biomarker discovery
9. Background in immunity/inflammation and/or nanomedicine
10. Experience with in vitro and cell-based assay development and validation
11. Hands-on experience in laboratory automation, high-content screening & imaging (HCI/HCS) and single-cell data analysis, statistical computing, use of AI/ML models for data analysis
12. Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, and team-working skills
13. Fluency in English

A full-time Scientist position is immediately available in the Laboratory Automation Technologies (LAT) Facility at the DZNE in Bonn. The LAT is a Core Facility, which provides expertise and technologies for lab automation services within the DZNE. You will be part of the spin-off project team immunXnano that is funded by "Helmholtz Enterprise". immunXnano's mission is to decode the innate immune landscape, accelerating drug discovery and disease understanding through advanced imaging and data analytics.
