Ballistics Engineer - Soft Ballistics
A leading innovator in personal protection is seeking a Ballistics Engineer with expertise in soft ballistic systems to join their R&D team.

Requirements:
1. Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or similar
2. Proven experience in ballistic protection, ideally with a focus on soft ballistics and polyethylene
3. Familiarity with relevant standards and testing protocols
4. Fluent in English; German is a plus
5. Bonus: CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation experience
Responsibilities:
6. Develop and optimise soft ballistic protection solutions using advanced polyethylene (PE) in multi-layer constructions
7. Design innovative concepts tailored to customer needs and international standards
8. Evaluate and select high-performance materials and explore new combinations to enhance protection and reduce weight
9. Plan and execute ballistic test series, analyze results, and refine designs
10. Collaborate closely with production to create prototypes
11. Use simulation tools to predict ballistic behavior and validate through rigorous testing
12. Maintain technical documentation including specs, drawings, and reports
13. Work cross-functionally with sales, production, and quality teams, as well as external partners
14. Stay ahead of market and technology trends in soft ballistics
