Apprenticeship dairy lab technician (m/f/d)
Work areas and content of the training:
Dairy lab technicians are the experts in all questions concerning the quality of our products. They ensure the perfect quality of milk and dairy products. To this end, they check the ingredients and properties of raw milk, intermediate and end products. The training course lasts three years. Vocational school lessons and inter-company training take place in block form at the Gewerbliche und Landwirtschaftliche Schule in Wangen/Allgäu. Instruction is given in blocks of a total of 12 weeks' duration per training year in 2 sections of 6 weeks each.
Focal points of training:
1. Ensuring the quality of milk and milk products
2. Checking and analysing the ingredients and properties of raw milk, intermediate and end products
3. Performing sensory, microbiological and chemical tests
4. Compliance with food law regulations and operational standards
