We are looking for a motivated and professional Application Engineer to lead, manage and develop the EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems) Adjacent Market according to business needs.
Your Tasks:
1. Leading, managing and developing the EDS Adjacent Market according to business needs (advanced work to secure new projects)
2. Ensuring further growth by analyzing the needs of the EDS organization and communicating with management, EDS Core and Execution teams
3. Securing tools to implement research and development projects (in relation to Adjacent Market) according to current standards
4. Exploring opportunities to improve collaboration with customers and other departmental EDS organizations to achieve synergy effects
5. Leading the “Request For Quotation/Information”, the advanced work and delivering the technical inputs on time and on quality
6. Collaborating with suppliers and driving vertical integration
7. Supporting the handover plan to the execution team and making sure that the project team is fully equipped to deliver the new programs successfully
8. Investigating and, if necessary, establishing collaborations with external organizations (e.g. external service providers, universities)
9. Preparing, controlling and reporting on the budget for the assigned organization
10. Performing assigned tasks on time
11. Creating products according to customer requirements and procedures
12. Maintaining communication with external and internal customers
13. Performing assigned tasks in accordance with EDS quality management system
14. Reporting progress and support required to the Line and Dotted-line Manager
Your Background:
15. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years in the Electrical sector in a technical and commercial function
16. Understanding of Costumer Culture ideally in the Automotive Electrical Sector
17. Proven Strategy Development Skills
18. Self-motivated, target/result driven
19. Languages: fluent English (speaking and writing) and ideally good German (speaking and writing)
20. willingness to travel up to 50%
