Essential Responsibilities:
1. Design and define the portfolio strategy for an identified country, supporting the execution of local product priorities, and analyzing and interpreting product performance.
2. Implement hands-on execution coordination of local and global cross functional initiatives.
3. Manage process escalations to remove obstacles for the strategy execution while proposing and supporting change implementation to strategy
4. Collaborate and define priorities based on global commercial product strategy
5. Research new opportunities and establish and negotiate new partnerships
6. Engage with ongoing partners regularly, improving relationships and operational efficiencies
7. Direct, set, and define customized market/regional specific product and technology strategies
8. Manage stakeholder relationships and oversee the delivery of key product and platform infrastructures
9. Set strategic direction and roadmap to enhance product experience and business metrics
Minimum Qualifications:
10. 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
11. 5+ years in merchant partnerships, strategic BD, or commercial strategy within e-commerce, retail, loyalty/rewards, or fintech
12. Proven track record building go-to-market or partnership strategies end-to-end - from pitch development through deal closure and performance review
13. Deep familiarity with the German retail and loyalty ecosystem; existing network across relevant verticals (grocery, fashion, travel, QSR, or consumer categories)
14. Experience designing or operating offer/promotions programs - cashback, discounts, coalition loyalty, or affiliate/partner marketing - ideally in a consumer-facing product context
15. Ability to translate product capabilities into compelling merchant value propositions; prior experience working with product or growth teams is a plus
16. Strong analytical skills; able to derive insights from program performance data and turn them into actionable pitch narratives
17. Fluent in German and English; additional European languages a plus
18. Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred but not required
