Aufgaben
Lead global innovation projects focused on recycled content and other technical areas around circular economy ensuring alignment with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 14021, ISO 22095, EN 15343) and current and upcoming regulations.
Continuously improve and update current services related to plastic recycled content, material claims and other areas
Collaborate with business units both globally and in the regions, to design, develop, and implement services for a broad range of industry segments.
Provide expert consultation to clients, helping them meet sustainability goals while improving market credibility in line with circular economy principles and provide technical sales support, working closely with regional key account managers.
Lead and deliver training programs to empower internal teams and stakeholders to effectively support global scaling of services.
Take on the role of auditor for the Plastic Recycled Content and other circular economy programs, supporting various industries and customers.
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, research, and regulatory changes in recyclability and recycled content standards, ensuring TÜV SÜD remains a leading authority.
Take a thought leadership role by establishing effective working relationships with internal and external sustainability experts, scientific institutions, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifikationen
Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar technical sustainability field. A doctoral degree (e.g., PhD) is a plus.
5+ years of experience in a professional service environment, particularly within the recycling, sustainability, or product certification sectors (e.g., consulting, third-party bodies, industry, and/or academic contexts).
Expertise in circular economy concepts, including deep knowledge of general and material specific recycled content/chain of custody standards such as ISO 14021, EN 15343, ISO 22095.
Hands-on experience in the validation/verification of plastic recycled content / recyclability /circular economy, or working within the Remade, Recylass, GRS certification frameworks.
Familiarity with concepts and standards in certification/verification/validation such as ISO 17029, ISO 14065, and ISO 17065 is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English (oral and written). Additional language skills (e.g.,French, Spanish) are a plus.
