KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Digital Grid Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Being part of the Grid Automation team, you will create bids in the area of control and protection systems in High Voltage Substation projects. As Senior Bid Manager you will complete several process and activities in Technical and commercial aspects during bid preparation process with respect to an effective administration of proposal (including Bid Management) for an assigned project or customer target group. The projects you are working on are located world-wide with a focus on German speaking market.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Build proposals for EPCs and end customers in the field of Protection and Control systems for HV and MV substations, including hardware and software scope of supply, while ensuring high-quality and timely preparation in alignment with customer requirements.
2. Analyze customer technical specifications independently to better understand aspects of the product and solutions, while validating and endorsing the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid.
3. Collaborate closely with technical specialists within our international team to ensure coordinated and effective proposal development.
4. Independently develop, edit, and write original proposal responses and other sales-related documents, while discovering and understanding customer business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements.
5. Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the assigned industry structure, applications, terminology, trends, and issues, as well as the Transmission Utility market, including customer requirements, opportunities, and competition.
6. Display a high level of critical thinking to resolve high-impact, sophisticated, and multi-functional problems successfully.
What You Bring
7. University degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a similar field, with long-term professional experience in substation control and protection systems, energy transmission, and distribution.
8. Demonstrate proven business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, including financial, strategic, and tactical thinking, along with long-term experience in bid preparation, tendering, and management of sophisticated international energy project bids.
9. Possess technical and business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in German (mandatory) and English (mandatory).
10. Exhibit a solid understanding of the power distribution and transmission market and technologies, particularly in protection and control, HMI solutions, SCADA, and cybersecurity.
11. Display strong analytical thinking, a customer-focused and results-oriented mindset, and the inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong desire to win.
12. Show excellent organizational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
