Ultrafast Laser Physicist Researcher Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced researcher with expertise in laser physics to join our team. This is a fixed-term, full-time position that offers a unique chance to explore the fundamentals and practical implementation of ultrafast laser systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonlinear optics, experimental skills, and a solid grasp of principles related to pulse propagation. Experience with designing and building ultrafast fiber lasers and/or amplifiers is considered an advantage.
This role involves designing and demonstrating a unique laser system capable of achieving strongly collectively ultrafast pulse-matter interactions. The successful candidate will work on developing innovative solutions to advance the state-of-the-art in this field.
Your tasks will include:
* Designing and building experimental platforms supported by computational simulations
* Planning and performing experiments
* Communicating and writing scientific reports on progress and comprehensive manuscripts
* Actively participating in lab/group meetings, presenting, and disseminating scientific advances
Key qualifications include:
* Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, photonics, or a closely related discipline
* Strong background in ultrafast and nonlinear optics, and/or laser physics
* Experience with high-average-power and/or high-energy pulses involving Yb-based gain media is an advantage
