Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer (m/f/d) for our Engineering & Technology department in the Global Automotive business unit.



In this role, you will support one of our major OEM customers in southern Germany. You will act as an interface between the customer and our engineering departments in the area of high-voltage projects.



The position would be based either at our Automotive EMEA headquarters in Bensheim, with a willingness to travel 25-50%, or in Munich, with a willingness to travel approximately 10%.




Job Requirements

• Establish a network and act as a central point of contact for customers, project managers, engineering, and other stakeholders within TE Connectivity

• You have the ability to see beyond the engineering department (sales, quality, project management)

• Confident use of CAD tools and basic knowledge of data exchange and installation space verification

• General experience in project management (stage-gate process, milestone management)

• Act as the initiator of change management (linking TE to the customer's change management process)

• Sparring partner for the technical manager as technical contact between TE and the customer

• Analysis of customer requirements and strategies, continuous information and exchange with key areas within the company, and control of decision-making processes


What your background should look like

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or natural sciences

• 3 years of professional experience in automotive/engineering

• Confident use of Catia, Creo, Prisma, and PDM tools

• Initial experience in process engineering

• Experience with CAD vehicle architecture

• Experience with quality tools (8D, statistical analysis, complaint management)

• Confident in working with internal/external stakeholders

• Outgoing, communicative, and assertive with good presentation and negotiation skills Willingness to travel

• Fluent in German and English
