Job Description
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Software Engineer - Embedded Display Solutions (m/f/d) at our Munich – Brunnthal location.
As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering production-ready software for complex and distributed embedded systems used in modern railway passenger information solutions. Your work ensures that millions of travelers receive accurate, real-time information through advanced display technologies.
Open-source libraries, video streaming, network protocols, IPC, Linux build systems, and cyber-security standards are just some of the exciting aspects of your daily work - always with the goal of creating robust, high-quality software for deployment.
What Awaits You
- Collaborate with a motivated team to develop software for integrated display products in railway passenger information systems.
- Design and develop reusable software modules for long-term scalability.
- Analyze requirements and create robust software architectures.
- Work closely with Systems Engineering and our customers to ensure seamless integration.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop software for embedded display products in networked environments.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into project configurations and software specifications.
- Ensure compliance with modern cyber security standards.
- Create software requirements, architectures, and designs for multiple components.
- Define work packages and review development outcomes.
- Build tools that boost productivity and streamline processes.
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (with a focus on software development), IT Specialist in Application Development, or an equivalent qualification
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work across domains.
- Ability to analyze requirements and shape customer projects accordingly
- Proficient in C++17 or newer.
- Skilled in scripting languages (bash, Python).
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles.
- Excellent communication skills in German and/or English
