Head of Group Accounting (all genders)
Lead the preparation and consolidation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group in compliance with IFRS.
Role
As the Head of Group Accounting, you will be a key leader in our finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our global financial reporting. You will lead the preparation of our consolidated financial statements and act as a strategic partner to finance teams across the group.
Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation and consolidation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group in compliance with IFRS.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies set by our “Finance Excellence” function.
* Manage external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
* Oversee the preparation of internal reports and financial analysis of Actuals for the FP&A team.
* Serve as a business and sparrings partner for other finance functions, including finance teams in subsidiaries, providing expert guidance on all matters of group accounting and consolidation and understanding financial actuals.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the group accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Act as a key user for our consolidation and reporting systems (Navision Business Central / Lucanet).
Requirements
* A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) is highly desirable.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 5 years in a leading position in Group Accounting within a multinational organization.
* In-depth knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP Germany and regulatory requirements.
* Proven experience with financial consolidation, reporting, and external audit management.
* Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal.
* Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
* Experience in BIG4+ is a plus.
