We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team!As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing new features for our cutting-edge ecommerce platform. You will work closely with other teams to ensure the platform is running efficiently and smoothly. You will be a key player in architectural discussions, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our platform's design and direction. We are an agile team and operate on 2-week sprints, with a focus on delivering high-quality software that meets our customers' needs. You will be working with some of the latest technologies, including Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Kafka, and Microservice architecture. Your area of responsibility:
* Maintain and develop new features for our ecommerce platform
* Work hand-in-hand with other teams to ensure the platform is running efficiently and smoothly
* Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the platform's design and direction
* Utilize Agile methodology and operate on 2-week sprints
* Develop software using the latest technologies, including Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Kafka, and Microservice architecture
Skills and qualifications you bring with you:
* 5+ years of experience in backend software development
* An apprenticeship or degree in the IT field or a comparable qualification
* You have excellent teamwork and communication skills in English and an open and reliable work style
* Minimum German Skills required, fluency a plus
* Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Kafka, and Microservice architecture
* You are familiar with reactive programming and can debug and extend existing components
* Utilize Agile methodology (Scrum / Kanban) and operate on 2-week sprints
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
* You have a valid work permit in the EU and reside in the EU, preferable Germany / Ireland
