Hauptaufgaben
Serves as Lead Supply Technician for the Distribution Division. Controls the work of a small group of three or more Supply Technicians. The highest level of non-supervisory work led is Supply Technician, C-2005-4a. Functions in all aspects of Distribution Division operations, to include receiving, bin/bulk storage, packing, Temperature Sensitive Medical Products (TSMP) area, HAZMAT, and Turn-In. Incumbent may also assist in the warehouse processes involved with the management and or handling of Medical Chemical Defense Materials (MCDM). If leadership requires change of work assignment or area, must be able to acclimate and be flexible to perform duties in other areas of assignment. Utilizes Business Intelligence applications to assist in quality and production flow of material to customers. Utilizes TEWLS (Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System) and other automated systems to manage all materials under care.
Responsible for the quality and timely completion of all work within the assigned area. Distributes and balances the workload among employees according to priorities, workflow, or job specialization. Assures adequate workload for each individual, as well as timely accomplishment of assigned work. Identifies and analyzes problems with the work process. Makes routine adjustments of employees work schedules based on the operational need, and peak or low periods of transportation activity. Reports to the supervisor on performance, progress, and training needs of employees. Recommends awards and disciplinary actions to the supervisor. Resolves simple informal complaints of employees and refers more serious to the supervisor for resolution. Provides on-the-job training as required. Implements corrective action and advises supervisor of problems incumbent can't solve. Must also maintain current knowledge of materiel storage, packing, and handling guidelines.
May be required to segregate and move materiel to staging area for replenishment, which includes physical lifting and carrying of materiel up to 70 lb.
Can perform receipt functions and requests for issue of items (transfer orders), checks item identification codes and or expiration dates in TEWLS (Theater Enterprise Wide Logistics System) for completeness and correctness in order to properly identify and pick items. Compiles, packs, and marks items for shipment/issue ensuring compliance with supporting documentation. Places special emphasis on picking the correct NSN, material number, with expiration data and quantity. Transcribes specific data required for update of the automated data processing system. Processes priority requests and requests requiring special handling immediately upon receipt. Ensures that storage area and items stored are protected against damage, deterioration, and pilferage. Responsible for quality control of all outgoing materiel. Utilizes available equipment, adjust packing procedures, and monitors reports to ensure optimum materiel quality. Determines over, short, or misplaced items and initiates corrective action.
Receives and stores materiel. Performs all necessary supply transactions on the automated data processing system. Conducts and/or requests regular and special inventories and cyclic surveillance within assigned areas. Conducts and/or directs re-warehousing, storage consolidation, bin/storage unit surveys, and warehouse maintenance as needed to assure quality performance.
Performs a variety of data transfer and verification assignments involving the operation of a program-controlled Materiel Management System. Inserts and deletes records including updating location type, item location, and condition code. Updates QC information, expiration dates, shelf-life codes, dimensional data, inspection dates, etc. Queries the system to research discrepancies between quantities on the record and actual quantities maintained in storage bins. In addition, checks pertinent information such as NSN or material number, unit of issue, intermediate package quantity, storage/handling notes, etc. to ensure supplies are properly maintained.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-5:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
• Applicants must be in possession of a Forklift Operator License.
• German driver's license class B desired.
• Office Automation skills required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency Level B1 AND German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
