The Sensors Business Unit is seeking a highly skilled and business‑minded Senior Plant Controller to support its network of five production plants across Germany. This role partners closely with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and the EMEA Operations Finance organization to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate is a proactive business partner with strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, and the ability to translate financial insights into operational improvements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust cost control, and improved productivity across the manufacturing footprint.
Your Main Tasks
Financial Leadership & Business Partnership
* Act as the primary Finance partner to Plant Managers and Operations Leaders across multiple production sites.
* Support operational decision‑making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance insights.
* Lead financial reviews, explain variances, and ensure transparency for all stakeholders.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
* Oversee the complete financial cycle for manufacturing operations, including monthly closing, forecasts, standard cost updates, and annual budgets.
* Consolidate site‑level financials and provide clear bridge analyses between plan, forecast, and actual results.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance with TE's financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
Costing, Productivity & Operational Performance
* Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and monitor savings delivery in partnership with Operations.
* Support productivity programs, capacity utilization analyses, and make‑versus‑buy assessments.
* Validate and maintain accurate standard costs, bill of materials (BOM), and labor/machine rates.
Strategic & Operational Support
* Participate in cross‑functional initiatives including footprint optimization, capital investments, and continuous improvement projects.
* Develop business cases, investment analyses, and post‑implementation reviews.
* Provide financial insights on operational risks and opportunities.
Leadership & Collaboration
* Lead and develop a small regional finance team or site controllers, ensuring strong analytical capability and business partnership.
* Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data‑driven performance management.
Your Ideal Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or professional certification (CPA/CMA) preferred.
* 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or operations finance environment.
* Experience supporting multiple plants/sites is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
* Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and performance metrics.
* Strong command of ERP and reporting systems (SAP preferred).
* Fluent in English, and German
* Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior operational and functional leaders.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses.
* High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
