Job Description
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of AI, technology transformation, and enterprise innovation — driving the strategic development, execution, and scaling of Generative and Agentic AI across Bosch. The role contributes to building a strong AI ecosystem that creates customer value, enhances competitiveness, and maximizes business impact. It will also act as a key catalyst in Bosch’s broader technology evolution, ensuring AI capabilities are embedded across the company’s digital platforms, enterprise architectures, and data foundations — connecting Bosch’s AI ambitions with its overall technology modernization journey.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
1. Engaging vision, enablement & Communication
o Craft and articulate a compelling vision about how Generative AI will transform the organization, reshaping how we work, creating value for customers, and driving measurable business impact.
o Secure strong stakeholder buy-in from executives and key internal stakeholders by clearly demonstrating strategic value and ROI of Generative AI initiatives.
o Act as the champion for Generative AI across Bosch. Engage executives, departmental heads, and associates with clear messages that highlight opportunities and drive execution. Demystify complex concepts and foster dialogue to build trust and momentum for adoption.
2. Strategic Direction & Roadmap
o Develop and execute a Bosch-wide GenAI and AI Technology Strategy with a roadmap that integrates AI scaling with enterprise technology transformation.
o Position AI as a core driver of technology transformation and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture evolution.
o Identify promising GenAI use cases with significant P&L impact; evaluate and prioritize use cases for revenue, cost reduction, efficiency, or new product/service creation.
3. Technology & Platform Development
o Lead AI & Data Architecture: evolve to cloud-native, modular, interoperable environments; establish an enterprise-grade architecture that supports reuse and federated deployment.
o Design and maintain a scalable GenAI platform (foundational models, infrastructure, MLOps) interoperable with Bosch’s tech stack.
o Drive AI-enabled technology transformation by modernizing infrastructure and data flows; collaborate with IT, digital and engineering leadership.
4. Execution & Scaling
o Scale GenAI/Agentic AI benefits by establishing an operational framework to prototype, develop, test, and deploy solutions; manage project pipelines and resources.
o Lead a core team of GenAI experts to enable and accelerate GenAI initiatives; foster innovation and collaboration.
o Support GenAI scaling with adaptable infrastructure and data pipelines for rapid prototyping, deployment, and continuous improvement.

Technical Foundation
* Data & AI Architecture Mastery: modern data and AI architectures (data mesh, cloud-native integration, federated learning) for scalable AI deployment.
* Enterprise Technology Transformation Experience: ability to align AI strategies with enterprise modernization (ERP transformation, digital platforms, cloud migration, software-defined systems).
* AI/ML Expertise: understanding of ML, DL, NLP, and generative AI technologies.
* Cloud & Infrastructure Integration: familiarity with AI platforms (Azure AI, AWS, GCP) and edge deployments.
* AI Governance & Ethics: responsible AI, interpretability, bias mitigation, and compliance frameworks.
* Automation & Analytics: AI for process automation, predictive analytics, and decision optimization.
* Emerging Tech Awareness: current with agentic AI, multimodal models, and AI safety frameworks.
* Impactful Communication
o Value Proposition Articulation: translate GenAI benefits into business value aligned with Bosch’s priorities.
o Stakeholder Alignment: foster buy-in across units with clear, persuasive dialogue.
o Clarity & Conciseness: convert complex topics into business-friendly language and actionable insights.
o Thought Leadership Presence: represent Bosch in responsible and innovative GenAI applications.
* Strategic Foresight
o Opportunity Identification: identify high-impact GenAI use cases aligned with business objectives.
o Roadmap Development: contribute to a phased GenAI strategy and implementation plan.
o Risk Mitigation & Ethical Integration: assess technical, ethical, and operational risks and plan responsible deployment.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Bridge R&D, Product, IT, Legal to ensure GenAI solutions integrate with Bosch ecosystems.
o Change Management Facilitation: guide teams through GenAI adoption with agility.
o Talent Nurturing: develop internal GenAI competencies.

* Additional requirements
o Completed studies (master's degree/diploma) in software and digital relevance (e.g., Computer Science).
o 10+ years of leadership in IT or software, with global leadership experience.
o Significant experience in AI strategy, development, or product management, with recent focus on Generative AI.
o Experience in a large, complex global organization preferred.
o Fluent in English; German is an asset.
