The Software Architect is primarily responsible for designing software systems and components, defining interfaces, and ensuring proper interaction between software and hardware components. The role involves collaborating with other architects, project managers, and developers, providing guidance, and being a key contact for technical questions related to software architecture and design.
Requirements
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Designing software architecture based on system requirements
* Defining interface descriptions with internal or external teams
* Serving as the technical point of contact for architecture and interface questions
* Contributing to software requirements and project planning
* Guiding and mentoring other architects and developers
* Supporting testing teams in understanding software components
* Improving software design processes
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree in computer sciences or similar, or comparable IT training
* 0-3 years of experience in a similar role
* 6+ years of experience as a software developer for production software
* 3+ years of Linux platform experience
* Strong knowledge of software and application design and architecture
* Technical mindset with attention to detail
* Understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle
* Ability to handle full-stack problems
* Holistic view of product/interfaces/software/hardware when making decisions
* Knowledge of the V model and DO-178 standard is advantageous
Soft Skills:
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills
* Proactive and organized
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Mentoring abilities are a plus
* Discretion and sound judgment in decision-making
Travel:
* Some local, domestic, and international travel may be required
