Due to continued growth within the global service team, we have an exciting vacancy for a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) in Central-East Germany.
After completing a comprehensive training program, the role will include:
* Work on a stand-alone basis, maintain team spirit and share knowledge with colleagues
* Having full responsibility, within a territory, to deliver world class service to our customers
* Install, maintain, and use expert troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues on a variety of roundness and surface finish measuring instruments
* Provide remote call pre-qualification and attempt remote fix wherever possible
* Be the focal point for customer issues and technical enquiries
* Document and report technical issues where necessary
* Provide training as required to customers and local distributors
* Look for opportunities and report wherever possible
The successful candidate will:
* Have a good grounding in mechanical/ electronic or Multi-Disciplined Engineering
* Ability to read, interpret and analyse schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams
* Ideally, previous experience of working in a technical customer facing role however, recent graduates are welcome to apply
* Interact with and provide feedback to internal stakeholders including technical support teams, manufacturing, and R&D
* Build trust relationships with our customers
* Have good computer skills including Microsoft Office
* Hold a valid & clean driving license
* Can work alone while representing Taylor Hobson at customer sites
* Be prepared to work flexible hours when required
* Be prepared to assist colleagues in other regions of the world when required
Skills & Experiences
* High energy level with ability to take initiative.
* Experience within a matrix management environment
* Teamwork oriented with collaborative style, pragmatic, multitasking, flexible (up tp 80% travels)
* Computer fluent, with specific attention to e-mail and Microsoft Office product skills; CRM and Service tools
* Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact effectively
* Follow set procedures but can identify when change is required
Requirements:
* Mechanical/ electrical or electronic Service expert
* Proven experience in high demand B2B customer service.
* Based in the Central-East Germany (ideal: Schweinfurt/Bamberg region)
* English: good communication skills, Written and spoken.
* Strong customer service attitude with a critical mindset
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated and a team player
