Head of Technical Steering Specialty

Your tasks:
1. Lead and develop a new team for Technical Steering Specialty Lines (4 FTE)
2. Main contact for CUO and Line of Business for all topics regarding the technical P&L (operational steering model, German GAAP, IFRS)
3. Analyse financial closings, provide commentary and reporting to senior management
4. Establish new controlling and steering procedures for Specialty Lines
5. Supervise and support forecast and plan procedures, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment
6. Collaborate closely with Line of Business and other CFO departments for seamless coordination and information flow
7. Support the target derivation process and steering activities, playing a pivotal role in driving LoB performance
8. Perform economic analysis for the Line of Business, delivering valuable insights to senior management
9. Engage in project activities, leveraging expertise to contribute to the achievement of overarching objectives.
Your profile:
10. Passionate and skilled professional with a degree in business administration, economics, mathematics, or a comparable field; further qualification (PhD / MBA) benificial
11. Prior experience in a controlling, actuarial, or accounting department of a (re)insurance company, or a related occupation
12. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying information effectively to diverse audiences
13. Actuarial experience, preferably with IFRS17 reference
14. Thrives in a collaborative team environment, fostering positive relationships and contributing to collective success
15. Displays a proactive attitude, eagerly embracing learning opportunities and driving innovation
16. Fluent English skills in spoken and written form, additional proficiency in German is beneficial
17. Advantageous: Advanced technical skills in Excel, SQL and Power BI
