As we navigate this transformative journey, we are actively looking to staff our Data Centre team with a Scheduling Manager The Scheduling Manager Data Centres will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best practice scheduling processes, procedures, and standards across our data centre projects within Europe. The Scheduling Lead will serve as the primary contact for external consultants and contractors, overseeing detailed and daily scheduling activities. Additionally, this role involves delivering ongoing training in scheduling best practices to our project delivery teams. Key Responsibilities: Project S chedule M anagement Take full ownership of the project schedule, overseeing its development from pre-construction through to project completion, while proactively identifying and managing risks and opportunities at each phase. Collaborate with external schedulers to establish and refine baseline schedules, ensuring high-quality standards throughout the project. Support external schedulers in time-impact assessments for changes, implementing delay mitigation and acceleration strategies when needed. Ensure external schedulers comply with Goodman’s scheduling standards and best practices. Work with Goodman’s scheduling manager to maintain consistency across projects. Collaborate with key Goodman stakeholders to align the schedule with critical deliverables, including commissioning, client fit-out, and power upgrade works. Procurement Support Work closely with the wider project team to define clear scoring criteria for evaluating contractor technical schedule submissions. Review contractor tender schedules and provide the project management team with recommendations based on quality, feasibility, and technical competence. Onboard and mentor both new and existing contractors, enhancing the supply chain’s scheduling capabilities and ensuring alignment with Goodman’s standards at every level. Analyse contractor-submitted baselines, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with contractors to rectify issues and secure baseline acceptance. Construction Project Coordination and Schedule Analysis Lead the process of agreeing on project schedules and reporting formats with the selected contractor, ensuring compliance with Goodman’s requirements and industry standards. Continuously analyse live construction phase schedules, managing contractor performance against key KPIs (schedule and cost), ensuring strict adherence to contractual baselines. Ensure all approved changes, such as scope modifications, phasing adjustments, and time impacts, are accurately incorporated into live construction schedules. Collaborate with external project and cost management teams to assess and validate contractor Extension of Time (EOT) claims. Coordinate construction schedules with all project deliverables, including design, long-lead equipment procurement, commissioning, tenant fit-out, and power-on activities. Attend project-level monthly progress meetings, providing detailed updates on project status to Goodman Data Centre management, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams. Team Collaboration and Communication : Promote and deliver a collaborative environment throughout all members of the team, including stakeholders, advisors, end-user, and the supply chain. Establish and maintain effective communication and a transparent escalation procedure. Collaborate with the Project Lead and Goodman program team to ensure the DC Project meets business objectives and targets. Operate in close consultation with necessary stakeholders and departments, both internally and externally. Reporting and Risk Management: Ensure contractors adhere to agreed-upon reporting cadence and lead the review sessions to assess performance against contractual baselines. Identify, manage, and provide monthly reports on project risks and opportunities, including continuous improvement logs. Capture lessons learned throughout the construction phase and provide benchmark data from the as-built construction schedule at project completion. Qualifications: At least 3- 5 years of experience in scheduling, with a strong focus on data centre projects. At least 3 years on site experience Proven experience applying critical path method (CPM) techniques in hyperscale data centre construction projects. Expertise in using industry-standard planning software, such as Primavera P6. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and advanced MS Office Suite skills. Experience with QRA processes and software, such as Primavera Risk Analyzer or equivalent (e.g., DMCA). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in a multi-cultural team across Goodman’s diverse operations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and lead multi-functional teams.
