Tasks & responsibilities In your new role as legal business partner within cross-functional, international teams, you will draft and negotiate contracts on corporate level of the Boehringer Ingelheim Group, providing strong leadership in legal and business-related questions, and take responsibility for all project-related legal activities. You will partner closely with our R&D functions and provide guidance and direction for strategic projects and corporate policies & procedures. You will provide expert guidance on a broad range of legal topics pertinent to scientific collaborations and development activities within a research-driven globally operating pharmaceutical company, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property topics and international contract law. Moreover, you will negotiate and handle various complex contracts, such as research collaborations, drug development and manufacture agreements. As integral part of a team that values innovation and is driven by bringing real value to patients, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from our Global Legal & Compliance function, as well as from Patents, Sourcing, and Business Development & Licensing. Requirements Experienced lawyer with excellent qualifications u2013 fully qualified lawyer (u201cVolljurist*inu201d) or foreign equivalent with several years of professional experience, preferably as in-house counsel within the life sciences sector or other innovative industries Broad and profound experience in international contract law, well-versed in structuring and negotiating contracts, as well as in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks Experience in working within a global environment with the ability to operate in a highly complex matrix environment; Experience at a law firm with clients from these sectors is also highly valued Profound understanding of economic and strategic aspects, such as organizational structures, business processes, industry trends, and willingness to assume responsibility Team player with strong interpersonal skills, who can influence others, stay committed, and always seek solutions Excellent analytical skills with strategic and long-term thinking, ability to analyze and communicate risk and good judgment Proficient in English, German language skills are a plus Ready to contact us?
