mbiomics is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Microbiology team as Technical Assistant/Research Associate. You will play a central role in our innovative research team. We are looking for an individual with proven laboratory experience to support the team, strong organizational skills and a genuine passion for actively participating in future-oriented projects in the field of microbiome research.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Perform sterilization and disinfection of labware.
* Manage Biohazard Level II (Bio-II) waste sterilization and disposal.
* Organize and maintain cleanliness in laboratories and the sterilization room.
* Operate the laboratory dishwasher for cleaning plasticware and glassware.
* Maintain adequate level of consumables and labware in the laboratory.
* Conduct routine quality control (QC) checks on laboratory equipment.
* Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory maintenance tasks.
* Monitor stock levels of laboratory consumables and chemicals.
* Conduct routine environmental hygiene monitoring.
* Receive and process laboratory deliveries.
* Assist team members with reagent and microbiological media preparation.
* Document routine laboratory maintenance work and media preparation activities.
* Provide support to team members as needed
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in a biological/biochemical/biotechnological laboratory is mandatory.
* Willingness to learn about microbiology and new technologies.
* Attention to detail and commitment to following protocols and maintaining compliance with laboratory safety regulations.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is a plus.
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Fluent English language skills required, German language skills a plus.
