Description The Marketing & Digital Content Specialist in the Family History Department is a creative, organized, and proactive professional. This role oversees the RootsTech experience, manages multilingual content, campaigns, and initiatives, and leads content marketing and events. It combines digital content management, project and event coordination, and strategic thinking to support the department’s purpose: Uniting Families for Eternity, and its promise: We enable inspiring journeys that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their family—past, present, and future. Responsibilities Content Marketing · Develop content workflows aligned with key messaging themes. · Oversee and support content planning for social media, newsletters, and event materials. · Coordinate copywriting and creative content with local speakers and internal teams. · Collaborate with design, communications, and translation teams to ensure cohesive messaging. · Maintain and update content using CMS tools like WordPress and Brightspot. RootsTech Support · Promote RootsTech across European Areas by increasing awareness and engagement. · Coordinate multilingual content and localize campaigns for diverse audiences. · Manage speaker logistics, content submissions, and production timelines across countries. · Oversee the creation and organization of digital content and track campaign performance with data reports. Project & Event Management · Create and manage campaign calendars and project timelines. · Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events, including speaker content and promotions. · Ensure timely delivery of campaign assets aligned with strategic goals. · Act as a liaison for cross-functional coordination within the Europe Areas. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing and project coordination. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English ; additional European languages are a plus. Brings a creative mindset and confidently proposes innovative content formats, workflows, and strategies. Proven ability to create and manage content across various digital platforms (social media, blogs, email, web). Skilled in copywriting, storytelling, and content strategy. Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore, Brightspot). Comfortable using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Meta Insights). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This role is based in the Area Office in Frankfurt, however alternative arrangements within the Europe Central Area can be discussed.
