ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Manager Maintenance plays a pivotal role in providing essential support to the Maintenance Team for the administrative and operational management of our river cruise fleet. This role is integral in maintaining the seamless functioning of maintenance operations, encompassing procurement, finance, documentation, and compliance. The position is located in Cologne, Germany and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our river cruise fleet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance operations
1. Assist with purchase orders, invoice processing, and inventory management.
2. Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and compliance checks.
3. Direct support to service hub manager, related to inhouse organizational tasks
4. Internal support function to infrastructure related task
5. Admin fucntion for major service events
6. Support the Maintenance Manager with scheduling, logistics, and coordinating maintenance tasks.
7. Support in implementing quality assurances and improvement initiatives.
Leadership & stakeholder management
8. Ensure effective communication within the maintenance team.
9. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement.
10. Support Mainteance team with organisation work steps
11. Reports directly to the Service Hub Manager Maintenance.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Functional skills
12. Fundamentals in finance, budgeting, and procurement.
13. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
14. Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
15. Strong skill set in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint on a corporate level
Education and professional experience
16. A minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in maritime, transportation, or hospitality.
17. Background in business administration, finance, maritime, Hospitality, or related fields.
Leadership Skills
18. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively.
19. Coordinate meetings, prepare reports, and support technical department operations.
20. Proactive problem-solver, able to work independently and in teams.
21. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
Other requirements
22. Language skills: German and English (oral and written) on a business level
23. Professional appearance and demeanor
24. Proficient in using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and maintenance management software.
