For our headquarters in Kleve we are searching for a Finance Director (m/f/d):
As Finance Director for SPECTRO you’ll report directly to the Divisional Vice President/BU Controller. You’ll work closely with different internal partners to drive performance, ensure financial integrity, and support strategic growth. This is a high‑impact role where your expertise will shape decisions and deliver results.
Responsibilities
* Manage the accounting team (6‑7 employees)
* Prepare and submit the monthly US GAAP financials in HFM system
* Lead the entity’s SOX quarterly requirements, such as account reconciliations and other key controls
* Ensure conformity with US‑GAAP, local statutory requirements, Sarbanes‑Oxley and Corporate policies
* Drive the organization to achieve short‑ and long‑term business objectives
* Develop talent in the finance organization and ensure succession planning
* Prepare annual budget and monthly operational expense forecasts
* Prepare ad‑hoc requests for Corporate
* Ensure timely, accurate and integrity of financial data
* Responsible for annual statutory audit with external auditors
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. MBA/CPA a plus.
* Minimum ten years accounting or finance experience, including supervisory experience in a manufacturing or public accounting firm
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in German and English language
* Experience with German HGB and US GAAP
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
