The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Worldwide Campus is currently hiring a temporary Assistant Campus Director (ACD) at the Wiesbaden Campus starting 9 July and concluding 10 September. The ACD participates in the general administrative responsibilities of the campus. The ACD also participates in recruitment, public relations, and marketing efforts to provide the civilian and military sectors with relevant information regarding university programs and services. In the absence of the Campus Director and/or the Associate Campus Director, the ACD collaborates with Associate or Director of Training & Student Advising for student advising tasks.
Advising/Student Services
Provide academic advisement by being knowledgeable of the policy, procedures, and programs; facilitates the registration process by providing accurate degree advisement to include program selection, degree mapping, degree completion timeline; track student progress and make enrollment recommendations; directing students to resources within the University that provide additional assistance (student financial services, VA, admissions, Bookstore, etc.). Ensures that all University policies and procedures are enforced. Maintains student confidentiality. Proactively contact assigned students per the Campus Operations Communications Plan to ensure student success and retention. Demonstrates sound decision making and troubleshooting skills. Process academic/curriculum waivers, and student/instructor issues. Contact Associate or Director of Training & Advising for support.
Other student services:
1. Advising and assessing student requests for drops, academic and curriculum waivers, changes of program, declaration of minors, change of catalogs, requests for updated evaluations, at-risk student support, applications for graduation, and approval to take courses at another institution.
2. Preparation of unofficial student evaluations, maintenance of imaged student records, and reconciliation and monitoring of student financial status. Performs regular, in-person contact with prospects, applicants, new students, and continuing students in line with Campus Communications timeline.
3. Promotes scholarship opportunities. Responsible for maintaining campus email correspondence in a timely manner. Promotes the advisor-advisee relationship by effectively using the various tools of communication, including email, telephone, face to face meetings, social media interaction, and relevant Campus Solution comments.
Outreach/Community Relations
4. Promotes the University and its programs through participation/networking of/in college fairs, briefings for applicable military units/groups, and other meaningful opportunities. Communicates with local organizations to schedule events. Helps maintain an excellent relationship and communication with the local Education Services Officer (ESO). Identify mobile office hours, unit courses, and unit briefing opportunities.
5. Adheres to the Annual Outreach/Marketing Budget Plan for all outreach activities and expenditures.
6. Maintain campus visual marketing displays and student retention billboards/displays. Keeps information updated in a consistent manner.
7. Represents the University in a positive and professional manner, always, to elicit interested prospects and retain current students.
8. Personal vehicle to attend outreach events and meetings.
Administrative
9. Demonstrates sound decision making and troubleshooting skills. Responds to correspondence in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with published procedures.
10. Provides administrative support for the campus, including answering telephones, email, processing mail, ordering supplies, and assistance to faculty members teaching at/for their campus. Maintains daily campus operational hours for student service's needs. Ensures that classrooms and facilities are ready for instructional use at all times (including EagleVision).

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
11. Associate's degree
12. (1-3) years of work-related experience
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
13. Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
14. Excellent customer service skills
15. Academic advising experience
16. Attention to detail with initiative to set and accomplish goals
17. Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment
18. Ability to work as a team player with strong communication skills
19. Aviation background or experience desired
