Our Company is currently seeking a leader to accelerate our mass retail channel strategy within Germany.
About the Role
The Commercial Director will be responsible for delivering successful execution of our go-to-market strategy, meeting and exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs), and shaping medium to longer term future plans with customers.
This role offers an opportunity for a key talent to accelerate their career to senior levels within the sales organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Channel Ownership: Full commercial ownership of the grocery and discount channels in Germany.
* Customer Strategy: Develop and execute differentiated strategies for each retailer, aligned with broader commercial goals.
* Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of national account managers and key account executives.
* P & L Management: Own the sales forecast, gross margins, trade spends, promotional budgets, and revenue targets per customer.
* Negotiation Excellence: Lead annual negotiations with local and regional customers, including buying groups.
* Retailer Relationships: Build strong, trust-based partnerships with top retailer partners.
Key Qualifications:
* An outstanding track record of success in sales (mass and/or discount channel) with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience at senior leadership level.
* Strong track record in negotiations, listing wins, trade spend management, and market share growth.
* Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and perfect execution.
* Proven experience with people development.
