The Role Aspen Tech is currently seeking a Sales Account Executive with a proven track record of sales success in the Engineering/ Process Industry. The individual we seek is a sales professional who is a highly motivated, a self-starter with excellent business acumen and gravitas. A thorough understanding of executing a sales campaign from business development to closure and experience of managing strategic customers is required. Your Impact Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota with exceptional forecast predictability. Achieve assigned objectives of sales pipeline development and sales progression/velocity. Create and deliver a strategic account management plan to drive big deals and additional revenue for the company. Manage day to day sales process, coordinate account meetings, and coordinate sales support resources. Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, and operational usage of SalesForce.com. Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams to achieve customer success. Work as a team leader and member collaboratively on sales engagements involving global account opportunities. Develop and nurture C Level relationships at assigned customers, with the intention of having referenceable customers and becoming a trusted advisor. What You'll Need Demonstrated track record in successful direct sales of software solutions, with documented over achievement of sales quotas over multiple years. Extensive experience selling to customers in the Engineering or the Industry preferably the Process Industry. Experience leading multi-million-dollar sales campaigns. Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships. Excellent written, oral communication skills with impressive professional gravitas. Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision. Travel is expected 50% of time.
