Director Business Development (m/w/d) Road Tech & LLP - Europe
As Director Business Development (m/w/d) Road Tech & LLP - Europe, you will be responsible for leading and expanding the commercial activities for our road transport services across Europe, with a specific focus on the Control Tower setup. You will develop and implement strategic plans, manage a high-performing team, and drive profitable growth through strong customer partnerships.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Lead and develop a high-performing sales team within the Technology vertical, ensuring alignment with business goals.
2. Design and implement a growth strategy for road services in collaboration with senior leadership.
3. Drive lead generation and new business development, leveraging personal networks where possible.
4. Achieve financial growth targets and expand geographical and service coverage.
5. Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers across all customer levels.
6. Oversee commercial processes including RFQs, contract negotiations, and pipeline management.
7. Promote cross-functional collaboration across sales, operations, and support teams.
8. Represent DP World with professionalism, embodying company values and a strong safety culture.
Your Profile:
9. Degree in business, transport, or logistics, with 5+ years' experience in 4PL/LLP/logistics or related sectors.
10. Proven success in sales with a strong record of exceeding targets and value-based selling.
11. Experience leading and managing diverse sales teams.
12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills—clear, articulate, and tactful.
13. Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
14. Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
15. Technologically proficient—expertise in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
16. Willingness to travel (30–60%) and fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
