Scanlan International, Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of high-quality surgical products. We are seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our team in Eastern / Southern Germany. This role is pivotal in achieving account management goals and supporting Scanlan International sales leaders in maintaining and expanding our product lines.
Position Responsibilities
**Account Growth
* Achieve regional account growth targets.
* Engage in self-development programs.
* Emphasize quality and performance in product marketing.
* Timely and accurate reporting (expense reports, special projects, account management planning, activity reports).
* Manage back orders, returns, order expediting, and delivery rates.
**Communication and Support
* Collaborate with Scanlan International sales leaders to grow product lines.
* Conduct evaluations, manage business growth, and provide training.
* Work closely with regional managers for direction and support.
* Initiate sales and forward orders to the head office for contract processing.
* Extensive travel within the region, coordinated with Sales Directors and Managers.
This position will require extensive travel (60-70%) and be expected to travel to parts of Germany to attend various meetings/conferences:
* East Germany (Berlin, Brandenburg - Potsdam, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania - Scherwin, Schleswig-Holstein – Kiel, Saxony-Anhalt – Magdeburg, Hamburg, Thuringia – Erfurt)
* South Germany (Baden-Wurttemberg – Stuttgart, Bavaria – Munich, Saxony (Sachsen) – Dresden)
* In addition, there is at least one annual trip to the U.S. expected of this position.
* Occasional travel to European key meetings will be expected.
Position Qualifications
* Four years of college or equivalent education
* Minimum of 3 years in account management with proven track record of success, preferably in cardiac, vascular and/or thoracic surgical/medical products
* Knowledge or experience with surgical procedures, instruments and/or some medical account management experience preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local languages, and English
* Strong computer skills and ability to interpret information; proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Ability to operate an automobile safely and legally
